Abacus Group Achieves Highly Coveted SOC 2 Type 2 Attestation

Successful exam completing exam underlines the strength of Abacus Group’s dedication to security and availability for its clients
New York, September 8, 2025 – Abacus Group, a leading IT Managed Services Provider (“MSP”) and Managed Security Services Provider (“MSSP”) to highly regulated industries globally, announced today the successful completion of a SOC 2 Type 2 Examination, covering Application Hosting and Managed Services.
The SOC 2 Type 2 Examination, which is a voluntary framework, evaluated Abacus’ controls relevant to security and availability. The successful completion reconfirms Abacus' commitment to the highest security standards and illustrates their adherence to strict data policies, providing its customers with increased levels of assurance in its ability to protect their sensitive information.
SOC 2 is an attestation report developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that evaluates the effectiveness of the tools and internal controls a service organization uses to manage and protect customer data over a period of time. There are five Trust Services categories that a service organization may opt to be evaluated against as part of any SOC 2 examination, with Abacus, in this case, selecting security and availability.
