A key takeaway emphasized throughout the discussion was the continued importance of getting the fundamentals right. In today’s heightened threat environment, firms must ensure that essential controls such as multifactor authentication, patch management, access governance, and 24×7 monitoring are fully implemented and operating at a mature level.
